Truterra expands carbon tracking programs

August 3, 2023 By Nicole Heslip Filed Under: Carbon, Data, News

Farmers can be rewarded for nutrient management changes as well as data tracking in cotton production as part of new programs from Truterra.

Director of Field Services Mariah Murphy tells Brownfield the data helps companies in the supply chain meet science-based carbon reduction initiatives.

“We collect about 35 to 36 data points, all of that is in conjunction with an ag retailer in our network or we have the opportunity to work directly with Truterra,” she shares.

She says contract lengths and incentives vary by program for farmers in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Ohio, and Tennessee.
