Offseason scouting for whitetails

February 4, 2023 By Brent Barnett Filed Under: Outdoor Adventures

The 2022-23 whitetail deer hunting season may be over in many states, but a hunter in Illinois says it’s currently a prime time to be scouting for next season.

Brandon Quandt (pictured above) is a third generation farmer in southern Illinois and has hunted with his family for most of his life. He also films and produces for Drury Outdoors. Quandt tells Brownfield that even though the hunting season has come to a close, he’s been out in the woods gathering data for next fall.

Hear his full interview below from the latest episode of Outdoor Adventures on Brownfield.
