A program is helping teach students about the basics of the agricultural industry.

Courtney Shreve is the director of outreach education for Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation.

She describes why the program is so important .

Healthy Living:

According to the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture, the Agriculture in the Classroom Program serves nearly 5 million students and 60,000 teachers annually through workshops, conferences, field trips, farm tours, and other educational activities.
