Kelder’s Farm shows New York a bit of corn maze love

Ready or not — it’s corn maze season! This fall favorite provides entertainment for the whole family, and thanks to technology, farmers can choose a specific design of precisely what they want their maze to look like.

Kelder’s Farm in Kerhonkson is one of several farms on top of the trend for 2023’s corn mazes, unveiling a maze that shows love for New York in a big way.

The farm’s 2023 design includes the “I Love New York” logo, but the maze will also be part of a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

We are continuing our ongoing fundraiser for the Hudson Valley chapter of the American Cancer Society and will continue from now until the end of our season,” writes Kelder’s Farm on social media.

Like many family farms, Kelder’s has had plenty of time to hone in on their corn maze designs. Over 200 years old, the farm uses some technology and creativity to recognize current events, such as last year’s corn maze, which paid tribute to Ukraine’s farms and the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.

If corn mazes aren’t your thing, Kelder’s Farm has over 30 other attractions, including the World’s Largest Gnome Garden, sunflowers galore, and more.

Each year, fast-growing grain corn stalks are planted (sometimes atypically) in the spring, and around the peak of summer, farmers begin imagining what they might carve the fields into.
